To the wonderful cast and crew of this most excellent production, receive my humble and heartfelt appreciation for a wonderful time during the rehearsal and run of Shakespeare’s Land of the Dead. Being the first American production for this immigrant Soldier/Zombie, LOTD will hold a special place in my heart, and consequently, so will you all. Again, thank you and God bless you. I wish you all the best in your careers and lives from here hence. You are talented and gifted bunch, and you shall all do well for yourselves.

A special thanks to Bill, James and Dan. You’re the first people I met at my very first audition on American soil. What would otherwise have been a crap-in-my pants fear-inducing experience turned out to be a pee-in-my-pants fear-inducing experience. I would love to work with you all again. Please conduct every other audition in Philadelphia. Thank you.

Finally, to our supporters and fans, thank you for making the show the success it was. We couldn’t do it without you. Keep on supporting local theatre. It brings good karma.

Mary Beth again, voice back and all Anyways, during shows, the cast finds themselves talking about all sorts of odd things and one such conversation turned to the great cartoon of most of our childhoods: Animaniacs! I went looking on you tube afterwards and came across two great gems of the Warners (Yakko,Wakko, and Dot) pay homage to Shakespeare through their interpretations of key scenes from Hamlet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Enjoy!

Preview Night, a preview of awesome!

Hello everyone, stage manager Farin here!
Last night was Preview Night for William Shakespeare’sLand of the Dead at Plays and Players, and it was definitely a hit!

I’m so proud of the whole cast, and all my fellow crazy crew members- everyone really turned it up a notch. This is definitely a show not to be missed!

All our fabulous media mentions have clearly had an impact; we had an eager crowd for the show. The audience seemed to be having a fabulous time- it was great to hear them laughing at the jokes we all died over at the first reading, and at some of our hilarious staging.

Some audience members even said they learned new things about the historical figures in the show.
See? Zombies can be educational!

Tonight is opening night, and it’s gonna rock. As is every performance. So come on out to Plays and Players, and immerse yourself in the uproar that is William Shakespeare’s Land of the Dead!
